Spring Clean Your Health Series TIP 3: Air. The Breath of Life

Welcome to Tip 3 of our Spring Clean Your Health Series, where we are turning our attention to Air, the breath of life.
Air IS life. It contains oxygen, which is essential for cellular respiration - the process that provides us with energy. Yet we rarely stop to think about what we’re breathing — or how clean air and conscious breathing can have a profoundly positive impact on our health, instantly shifting our energy, focus, and calm.
Here are a few simple ways to breathe better:
Clear your space. Open windows, check for and remove mould, with non-evasive methods ( vinegar, clove oil, tea tree oil). Freshen the air around you.
Reset with breath. Take three mini-breathing breaks each day — morning, midday, and evening to fill your muscles and brain with oxygen.
Breathe deeply. Slow, nasal breathing calms the nervous system and brings focus. Seek out a breathwork class or a professional and reap the benefits of this deep, conscious connection.
During exercise, leverage your breathing to power your movements. Discuss this with your coach at your next session.
