Spring Clean Your Health Series TIP 2: Rest and Recovery - Where the Real Work Happens

Lady resting and meditating in nature

Hi Friends,

Welcome to Tip 2 of our Spring Clean Your Health Series, where we are focusing on Rest and Recovery.

Rest isn’t lazy; it’s where progress truly happens. In training, it’s during recovery that our bodies adapt, repair, and rebuild stronger. The same goes for life — without time to rest, recharge, and reset, we simply burn out.

Here are a few reflections to guide you:

  1. Sleep is your superpower. Aim for a minimum of 7–8 hours of quality rest. It’s the foundation of recovery.

  2. Schedule downtime. Make recovery as non-negotiable as your workouts.

  3. Rest your mind too. Unplug, walk in nature, or simply breathe deeply — restoration comes in many forms.

  4. Embrace massage as a form of recovery, or join one of our recovery workshops and learn how to release the fascia around your body yourself!

  5. Build a toolkit of strategies to support and encourage daily rest and recovery habits - Download the fitmobility Relaxation Toolkit Worksheet and get started today!

Remember, growth happens in the pause. Take it — you’ve earned it.
