Welcome to TIP 1 of our Spring Clean Your Health Series — ten prompts for gentle reflection designed to help us reset, refocus, and nurture our wellbeing from the inside out to support our fitness journey.
This week, we begin with a big one: Stress. It's something we all experience, but when left unchecked, stress quietly drains our energy, impacts sleep, disrupts hormones, and chips away at both physical and emotional health.
Let's identify and reduce stress with these few simple reminders as you move through your week:
Pause and notice. What situations or people cause your shoulders to tighten or your heart to race? Awareness is the first step to change.
Breathe before reacting. Slow, deep breathing can shift your body from tension to calm in just a few moments.
Start small. You don’t have to overhaul your life — begin by reclaiming small moments of calm: a walk, a stretch, or time outdoors.
Deep reflection and action. Take a few minutes this week to reflect on your triggers, to work through what changes can be made. Download and use the fitmobility Stress Clarity Checklist to make small steps to permanent change.
